

Does this now mean that when one of the cores of the CPU hits 60C that the maximum fan speed will be 1350 RPM?.

I never want to run my heatsink fan at 100% (1500 RPM) so changing this to 90% means it will never run over 1350 RPM?ĬPU upper temp set at 60C. One is not a multiplier of the other and I have a dual fan setup for the HSF. I assume the Chassis profile is for controlling the speed of the fans that are plugged into the motherboard? Is that right?Īn inconsistency I am seeing is that the BIOS is saying my CPU fan speed is 581 RPM and Speccy is saying my CPU fan speed is 1000 RPM. CPU and Chassis that have the same options. 200 is as low as you can set it without using Ignore. Set the CPU Fan Speed Low Limit to a number less than your idle speed. When the CPU temperature reaches 40C, the fan will start speeding up, until it hits 1500 rpm at the temperature you set the CPU Upper Temperature to. This is the speed it will run at when you power the computer on. (1500 x 20% = 300) - if you set it to 15, it should idle at 225 rpm. Set the CPU Fan Min Duty Cycle% to what you want the idle speed to be - if you set it to 20, that should be 300 rpm. I suggested 60C, but it can be set as high as 75C. Set the CPU Upper Temperature to what temperature you want the fan to be running at 100% (1500 rpm).

So, set CPU Q-Fan Control to Enabled, then set the CPU Fan Profile to Manual. If Q-Fan is disabled and the fan is running at 1500 rpm, that's 100%. Review the chart in post #10, that's a screen shot of your motherboard manual.
